18.06.2026

It was decided to open an investigation into the rail accident that occurred on June 18, 2026, at 1:20 p.m., within the area of operation of the Timișoara Regional Railway Branch, on the Ilia–Radna section (double-track, electrified line), as freight train No. 67751 (operated by the rail transport operator Transferoviar Grup SA) into the Zam passing yard. The train was traveling on the direct Line III from the passing yard when car No. 84539305613-8, the 27th car from the locomotive counting from the first bogie in the direction of travel, derailed.

It has been decided to open an investigation into the railway incident that occurred on June 4, 2026, at 2:53 a.m., within the operational area of the Craiova Regional Railway Branch, at the Ciolpani passing loop, caused by damage to switch No. 1 by a subassembly that had detached from locomotive DA 1276, which was part of freight train No. 68440 (belonging to the freight rail operator Carpatica Feroviar România SA).

It has been decided to open an investigation into the railway incident that occurred on May 30, 2026, at 8:30 p.m., within the operational area of the Craiova Regional Railway Branch, Caracal–Roșiori Nord (double-track electrified line) at the Mihăiești passing loop, when freight train No. 88660, hauled by locomotive ED 042 (belonging to the freight rail operator Carpatica Feroviar SA), passed the Y-shaped entry signal, which was in the “stop” position.
