ROMANIAN RAILWAY INVESTIGATING AGENCY

It has been decided to open an investigation into the railway accident that occurred on May 25, 2026, at 3:30 a.m., within the operational area of the CF Cluj Regional Branch, Carei Traffic Section - Episcopia Bihor (single-track non-electrified line), between the Biharia and Diosig stops, at km 675+000, involving passenger train No. 4331 025 (operated by the railway transport operator SNTFC “CFR Călători” SA), caused by a fire in locomotive DA 1213, which was pulling the train.

It has been decided to open an investigation into the railway incident that occurred on April 7, 2026, within the operational area of the CF Timișoara Regional Branch, Arad Traffic Section - Radna (double-track electrified line), on Track II, caused by the damage to several track inductors by a subassembly that detached from car no. 61534031023-9 of passenger train no. 473006 (belonging to the passenger rail operator SNTFC “CFR Călători” SA).

It has been decided to open an investigation into the railway incident that occurred on March 26, 2026, at 4:07 p.m., within the operational area of the Galați Regional Railway Branch, at the Barboși railway station, involving the dispatch of passenger train No. 11078 (operated by the rail transport operator Regio Călători SRL) toward Vădeni instead of Șendreni, classified as a “train traffic incident.”
